Is this a 55+ community?

Yes. Carlton Arms of St. Petersburg is a designated 55+ adult apartment community: 80% are 55+ years old, 20% are 18-55 years old.

What is the application process?

There are NO application or administrative FEES. Credit review, employment and residency verifications and criminal background reviews are conducted by a third party company after you have submitted a completed application. We require current proof of monthly income at least 2.5x the monthly rent of your selected apartment. Payment of the security deposit (ranges from $350-$600) is required.

What is included in the rent?

Monthly rent includes water & sewer, standard cable TV, monthly pest control, valet trash removal, all maintenance and all amenities.
Not included: Electric, internet service and cable TV upgrades.

Can I apply online?

Yes! Choose the “Application” link at the top of our website, follow the instructions to submit your online application. Next, choose the “Online Payments” link to submit your deposit. You must register as a new user and follow the instructions to submit your payment. There is a $1 service charge to submit your payment using the E-check option.

What is your pet policy?

2 pets per apartment.
$250 refundable pet deposit for the first pet, and $150 for the second pet.
$20 pet rent, per pet, per month.
Breed restrictions apply. There is a 35-pound weight limit.

How long does it take to secure an apartment after I go on the Future Residents List?

There is not a specific time period. Length of time is determined, by the number of move out notices received each month, and when new residents want the units. $50 refundable deposit is required to be placed on this list.

Do you accept vouchers and/or provide discounts/specials?

We choose not to participate in any of these programs. We do not offer any discounts or specials.

Closest hospital?

Bayfront Hospital ER and Trauma Center: 5 miles
St. Anthony’s Hospital and ER: 7 miles

Is there public transportation?

Pinellas County Transit bus stop is located 1 block from our entrance.

Are you a gated community?

No, there is one entrance/exit on Pinellas Pointe Drive South. There is an emergency access on 31st Way South.

Are you in a flood zone?

Our community is located directly on Tampa Bay. This is not a designated flood zone. We are in a Level B evacuation area.

Do you have washer/dryer connections?

No, we do not offer W/D connections. We have 1 large onsite laundry facility.

Do you have assigned parking spots?

There are no assigned parking spaces. All parking is first come, first serve. All residents have parking decals that allow them to park in front of the buildings. We do have carports available for rent.
